Summary

The Principal Software Engineer is an individual contributor and expert full-stack developer on an Agile team. You will define and build software supporting critical business products, leading a diverse group of engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy highly available, secure, and scalable systems alongside our Architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Build stable, high-performing applications from scratch using modern technologies.
• Navigate the full Agile lifecycle: coding, unit testing, deployment pipeline automation, and architectural design.
• Collaborate to define technical designs within overall architectural guidelines with minimal QA support required.
• Foster a self-organized, high-performance team culture aligned with Claritev's core values.
• Communicate issues clearly, propose solutions, and contribute to technical practice groups.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion HIPAA compliance throughout all development phases.

Requirements (Mandatory)

• Experience: 8+ years progressive software experience with 3+ years in a lead role; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• .NET Ecosystem: Hands-on expertise in ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, Web API, MVC, and SQL Server.
• Frontend: Proficiency building UI applications with React.
• Cloud & Architecture: Experience with top providers (Azure/AWS/OCI), Microservices architecture with Bounded Contexts (DDD).
• Messaging & Containers: Message brokers (Azure Service Bus/RabbitMQ) and containerized apps using Kubernetes/Helm.
• Quality Assurance: Guidance on TDD/BDD practices, maintaining code coverage, automated testing frameworks, EFCore ORM data access patterns.
• DevSecOps: Modern pipelines, authentication/authorization best practices, GitHub/GIT workflows.

Desirable Skills

• Extracting microservices from monoliths; SpecFlow framework experience.
• PostgreSQL database expertise and Agile project delivery history.
