Full Job Description
NIQ's Connect Technology teams are developing a new, unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. This platform is critical for clients worldwide seeking data and insights to drive innovation and growth.
As a Principal Software Engineer in Pune, India, you will join a team of skilled technologists working with cutting-edge technologies including Angular, Python, Fast API, HTML, JQuery, CSS, SQL, Azure cloud services, GIT-Hub, Kubernetes, and Docker. These technologies are deployed via DevOps pipelines utilizing Azure, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Bitbucket/GIT Hub.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance applications using Angular, Python, Fast API, HTML, CSS, SQL, GIT-Hub, Kubernetes, and Docker as primary development languages.
- Deploy application components using CI/CD pipelines.
- Build utilities for monitoring and automating repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate effectively within Agile cross-functional teams, including Operations, Infrastructure, and Tech Ops, as well as internal and external clients.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of applicable software engineering experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in back-end and front-end object-oriented programming, with proficiency in Angular, Python, Fast API, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
- Proven experience with cloud technologies, with a preference for Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with DevOps technologies such as GIT-Hub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Docker is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with integrating Restful APIs and an understanding of microservices architecture.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Excellent English communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional technology teams and business stakeholders.
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
