About The Role
Docker seeks a Principal Software Engineer to define technical vision for our internal Developer Tools team. This unique opportunity allows you to establish how Docker designs, builds, and operates its engineering infrastructure as AI reshapes software development.
Key Responsibilities & Pillars
- Platform Engineering: Design a self-service developer platform enabling rapid scaffolding, prototyping, and deployment for all internal teams.
- CI/CD Systems: Define standards for continuous integration pipelines, GitOps patterns, build infrastructure, and release engineering.
What Success Looks Like
You will be a technical leader excelling in developer experience and systems design. You think in platforms that enable dozens of teams simultaneously rather than mandating specific tools. With deep expertise across CI/CD, observability (Prometheus/Grafana/Loki), Kubernetes, and emerging AI/LLM integration, you will balance technical excellence with pragmatism.
