Principal Software Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Design, implement, and deploy infrastructure features for ads metrics alerting, diagnostics, and monitoring.
• Optimize data processing pipelines and evolve architectures to maximize performance while minimizing costs.
• Enhance flight analysis infrastructure to refine CTS and introduce new business metrics.
• Analyze data to uncover key insights that drive technical design and feature roadmaps.
• Collaborate with partner ads and Bing teams to enable new ads scenarios and integrate their work.
• Provide operational support to resolve bugs and mitigate live-site issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Preferred:

• Experience with large-scale big data systems (e.g., Cosmos, Hadoop, Magnetar).
• Expertise in building or operating streaming data pipelines (real-time or near-real-time processing systems).
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and Scala technologies.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 6+ years of experience (or equivalent).
