Principal Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Frontend/UI Engineer (ReactJS & .NET UI) based in Bengaluru to lead the design, modernization, and delivery of enterprise-grade user interfaces for US healthcare software platforms. This role bridges legacy systems with cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Led Architecture: Drive frontend/UI architecture across both legacy .NET UI applications (C#, WinForms, DevExpress) and modern ReactJS-based web applications to ensure seamless integration.
• Modernization Strategy: Establish engineering standards, best practices, and design patterns while delivering scalable, accessible, and performant solutions aligned with US healthcare compliance needs (HIPAA/HITRUST).
• Mentorship & Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the team, mentor frontend engineers, and guide the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through production support.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Product, UX, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment. Work on different layers of the stack while ensuring secure data handling for clinical, claims, or payer workflows.
• Innovation & PoCs: Build small Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to evaluate frontend solutions when required and communicate findings to leadership to influence technical direction.

Tech Stack Requirements

Legacy Frontend (.NET): Deep expertise in C#, .NET Framework, DevExpress UI component libraries, SOAP-based web services consumption, event-driven programming, and Ranorex/NUnit for automation testing.

Modern Frontend (ReactJS): Mastery of Virtual DOM, Hooks, state management (Redux), TypeScript/JavaScript, responsive design, Axios/API integration, Jest/Katalon testing, TDD practices, and Material UI/styled-components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Git, JIRA, Salesforce, VS Code (NeoVIM a plus), Chrome/React DevTools.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes for large-scale cloud or on-prem applications.
• Strong understanding of ADA/accessibility standards and HIPAA-conscious design principles.
• Micro-frontend architecture experience is highly valued.
