Full Job Description
Principal / Senior Staff Engineer – Embedded SoC Firmware – DDR Memory Controller at Kandou AI is a critical role in developing firmware for their advanced Memory Fabric products with DDR interfaces. This position focuses on implementing and supporting the core differentiating features of Kandou’s products. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing embedded firmware for DDR memory controllers, PCIe, NVMe, and other SoC interfaces, with proficiency in C or C++.
- Experience with bare-metal and RTOS/Zephyr OS firmware development, including SDK creation.
- Collaborating with architects, development teams, QA/validation, product management, and customer teams across global sites.
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools like Renode or QEMU for virtual platform-based development.
- Preferred: Experience with storage/SSD firmware (NVMe, PCIe, CXL, flash management).
Qualifications:
- Strong academic background in Electronics or Computer Engineering (Bachelor’s preferred, Master’s highly recommended).
- Minimum 8-15 years of firmware development experience for server memory controllers and DDR PHY programming.
- Expertise in SoC interfaces (PCIe, NVME, DDR controllers, AMBA/AHB, on-chip memory).
Location: Hybrid (Bangalore/Hyderabad) with on-site presence in the Greater Bengaluru Area or Greater Hyderabad.
