About the Role
SonicWall is seeking a seasoned Principal Platform Engineer to lead the evolution of our Kubernetes-based production environment in Pune Division. You will drive reliability and scalability across mission-critical systems using GCP, Terraform, and modern automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and scale our Kubernetes production platform
- Ensure comprehensive observability (metrics, logs, traces) for applications and infrastructure
- Tune database performance across distributed systems
- Partner with Engineering to assess architectural impact of new features
- Build operational runbooks and improve incident response processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience in production
- Strong Linux administration skills
- GCP cloud expertise (multi-cloud exposure is a plus)
- Proficiency with Terraform and IaC workflows
- Experience container lifecycle management
- Programming in Go, Python, or similar languages
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals
Education:
Bachelor's +10 years experience; Master's +8 years; PhD +5 years. Degree in CS/Engineering preferred.
