Principal

Netskope is seeking a Principal - Full Stack UI Developer to join their team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This role is part of the UI engineering team responsible for developing the user interface for Netskope products, specifically the Netskope Admin Console, which provides customers with a unified view of the platform's cloud security features.

In this position, you will collaborate with backend service teams to develop web applications, working on both the frontend and the web application backend. You will closely partner with backend teams on technologies such as Machine Learning, Threat, DLP, IaaS, and APIs. Depending on your expertise, you may also contribute to the Netskope REST API Gateway.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing web applications on the frontend.
• Supporting web application service features in the WebUI backend.
• Developing reusable UI components using AngularJS, Angular2+, Javascript, and HTML5/CSS3.
• Ensuring seamless cross-browser compatibility for the Netskope web interface.
• Staying updated with emerging technologies and web methodologies for future product integration.
• Collaborating effectively as a self-driven and motivated team player.

Required skills and experience:

• 14+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Expertise in Javascript.
• Experience with HTML5/CSS3, modern CSS Frameworks, and pre-compilers.
• Proficiency with modern Javascript frameworks, with a preference for AngularJS and Angular2+.
• Experience with backend languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or NodeJS.
• Strong understanding of Algorithms.
• Proficiency in relational database design.
• Knowledge of secure web development practices.
• Working knowledge of Git or other version control tools.
• Experience in improving web application performance and familiarity with testing tools is a significant advantage.

Education:

• BSCS or equivalent is required; MSCS or equivalent is strongly preferred.
