We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Portfolio Data Service team at D.E.Shaw India in Hyderabad. This team develops scalable, high-performing core infrastructure and hosts critical firmwide portfolio data sets for various business groups. The focus is on staying cutting-edge with technology while providing robust data solutions.
As a key member of this team, you will collaborate with multiple business units to research data needs and design maintainable libraries acting as central storage for trades, positions, PnL, and other portfolio assets within DESCO applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize big data solutions, design scalable libraries, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Execute projects in an agile environment by coordinating with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to leading financial firm business and technology standards.
- Take ownership of people management and project leadership as a core aspect of the role.
