Principal Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Engineer at the Vice President level to join our Digital X team. This challenging role focuses on designing and engineering software where customer experience is primary, contributing significantly to architecture and design excellence while building stakeholder relationships.

Your Responsibilities

• Create great customer outcomes through innovative solutions focusing on automation, simplification, resilience, security, performance, scalability, and reusability.
• Collaborate with software engineers in production teams to deliver bank platforms, acting as a key point of contact for solution design.
• Define architecture models and roadmaps ensuring common usability across products and domains using Agile methods and DevOps techniques.

Key Requirements

We require 12+ years of experience with significant expertise in:

• Coding with Java 17+, microservices/API development (SpringBoot), and containerization (Docker).
• Java performance optimization for low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• TDD/BDD frameworks like Cucumber/Selenium.
• Relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB).
• CI/CD tools (GitLab/GitHub) and AWS Kubernetes clusters with Helm Charts.
• Cloud deployment on AWS, Event-driven frameworks (KAFKA), and leveraging AI/GenAI within the SDLC.
