Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Payments/Java to act as an advisor to leadership in developing and influencing applications for highly complex business needs. You will lead strategies that resolve unique challenges, delivering long-term, large-scale solutions requiring vision and innovation.
In This Role, You Will:
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership on implementing innovative business solutions across payments transformation initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, AI) for payment modernization while ensuring architectural consistency and scalability.
- Maintain expertise in ACH, RTGS/Wires, SWIFT, ISO 20022, UPI, and real-time payment systems to drive global standards compliance (AML, PCI DSS).
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design: Define technical roadmaps for payments transformation. Drive the migration from legacy systems to modern, API-driven architectures using cloud-native microservices on platforms like AWS or Azure.
Mentorship & Collaboration: Work closely with product owners and engineering teams in Greater Hyderabad to align solutions with business goals. Mentor senior engineers and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions.
Innovation: Champion automation, DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines, and initiatives like AI-based fraud detection or digital wallet integration.
