Principal Engineer

Position Overview

The Autodesk Platform Services and Emerging Technologies team is seeking a passionate Principal Software Engineer with deep expertise in distributed systems and database engineering to join our Forge Data team. Based in Pune, you will report directly to a Software Development Manager.

Your Mission

• Create impactful solutions used by millions globally.
• Leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies (AWS) for real-time data-centric experiences at scale.
• Mentor junior developers while growing your own expertise through collaboration with industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Solve the team's most challenging technical problems from design to launch.
• Deliver robust architectural standards for new high-impact projects and complex bug fixes on critical paths.
• Lead thorough code reviews, documentation efforts, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Mentor junior members of the team to foster growth and knowledge sharing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience).
• 10+ years of overall Software Development experience specializing in Event-Driven Architecture.
• Expertise in Java/J2EE for Distributed Cloud Applications and strong knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Demonstrated proficiency with relational/non-relational Databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Hands-on experience building scalable services on major clouds like AWS or Azure.
