Principal Engineer – Electrical - Healthcare Experience
AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer – Electrical with a strong background in healthcare experience to join our team in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. This role is instrumental in driving innovative electrical engineering solutions for critical infrastructure projects.
Job Overview
This position is responsible for leading and executing engineering design and modification activities for electrical and electronic circuits, systems, and equipment. The role may also encompass the installation, operation, and maintenance of complex electrical systems and equipment. Specializations may include power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, electric service and supply systems, lighting, communication systems, fire alarm and detection systems, control systems, and general electrical installations.
As an Electrical Engineer at AECOM, you will focus on designing, maintaining, and enhancing products and systems powered by or producing electricity. Your expertise will span electricity, electromagnetism, electronics, power systems, control systems, telecommunications, and signal processing, addressing both large-scale electrical systems like motor control and power transmission, and the efficient utilization of electricity for energy transmission.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical resource and technical advisor to the engineering team.
- Provide specialized technical input to studies and design processes within your area of expertise.
- Develop and implement robust study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
- Prepare accurate construction cost estimates and assessments of technical efforts for projects.
- Utilize your expertise to guide all phases of discipline-specific components of Project, Services, and Specifications (PS&E) packages.
- Conduct thorough quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
- Prepare detailed technical specification sections.
- Contribute essential input to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
Qualifications
- Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Possession of Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE) license, or an equivalent global certification (e.g., Institution of Electrical Engineers, UK).
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare facility design is a mandatory requirement.
- A minimum of 13 years of overall professional work experience is preferred.
