Principal Engineer

This Vice President-level Principal Engineer role is based in India and requires full-time commitment within the local hub.

Role Overview

You will lead the design of innovative engineering solutions prioritizing customer experience. As a key member of the Engineering Centre of Excellence, you will collaborate to elevate overall software capabilities while gaining significant stakeholder exposure to hone technical talents and drive architectural standards across domains.

Your Responsibilities

• Define architecture models, roadmaps, and governance for application/software components ensuring cross-product usability.
• Promote rapid delivery of high-quality features that deliver measurable business value.
• Determine design and delivery approaches for platform software throughout its lifecycle.
• Partner with feature teams to engineer complex scripts/tools enabling bank platforms, acting as the primary point of contact for solution design considerations focusing on automation, resilience, security, performance, scalability, and reusability.

Required Skills & Experience

We seek a candidate with at least 12 years of experience in:

• Leading design and delivery of scalable, resilient, cloud-native solutions and containerized workloads within complex banking environments aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
• Embedding security-first practices (DevSecOps), championing secure coding patterns, and protecting critical data assets against financial regulatory requirements.
• Leveraging AI/ML and emerging agentic platforms to transform financial service capabilities.
• Mastery of diverse programming languages and technology stacks for mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency with code repositories, bug tracking tools, and wikis.
