About the Role

We seek a Principal Engineer to define technical vision, architecture, and strategy for our most critical systems. You will work across teams to solve complex challenges in scalable, data-intensive platforms powering the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Technical Strategy: Drive long-term architecture decisions balancing scalability, reliability, performance, and speed of execution for rapidly growing business domains.
• Distributed Systems: Design event-driven, highly available systems. Establish patterns for APIs, data management, service communication, and async processing with strong fault tolerance.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with product, operations, and senior leaders to translate problems into solutions. Influence roadmaps and represent architecture in executive discussions.
• Innovation & AI-Native Practices: Drive adoption of AI-native engineering practices. Integrate AI capabilities responsibly while maintaining reliability and security across production systems.
• Engineering Excellence: Mentor senior engineers, lead architecture reviews, build reusable platforms, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience: 12+ years building production systems at scale (targeting Senior/Executive levels).
• Skills: Deep expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, cloud-native technologies, and API design.
• Leadership: Proven track record influencing stakeholders across organizational boundaries. Ability to mentor senior talent.
• Innovation: Experience with AI-enabled development workflows is highly valued.
