Principal Application Software Engineer - TDMS at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

We are seeking an experienced Principal Application Software Engineer to develop and evolve TDMS, a mission-critical software suite for manufacturing test-record management. In this role, you will apply strong Java backend and middle-tier engineering skills to design, build, troubleshoot, and enhance applications supporting critical business operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, test, and maintain Java middle-tier/backend capabilities for TDMS while ensuring the reliability of mission-critical systems.
• Develop services using Spring/Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, WebLogic, JBoss, or comparable technologies within Linux environments to diagnose application issues.
• Build and maintain Jenkins-based CI/CD workflows for build and delivery automation.
• Work extensively with XML and JSON data formats, applying XSLT where appropriate for transformations.
• Contribute to cloud-oriented development using OCI, Azure, or AWS, troubleshooting complex API, integration, and service-to-service issues.
• Lead code reviews focusing on application design, security, maintainability, and quality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet evolving use cases.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to other engineers while improving development practices.
• Support maintenance, testing, upgrades, patches, and vulnerability remediation for the application suite.
