Principal Engineer - AI Science
Verizon is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the architecture and design for its cognitive and agentic systems practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI solutions (data pipelines, model training/deployment/monitoring).
- Develop high-level and low-level architecture for generative and agentic systems.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists and engineers.
- Stay abreast of advancements in Generative/Agentic AI; integrate emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into innovative solutions.
- Champion secure, reliable, ethical AI best practices.
What We're Looking For:
- 12+ years architecting large-scale NLP projects and LLM fine-tuning for tasks like text generation, classification, summarization, QA.
- Proven track record deploying agentic solutions at scale mapped to business goals.
- Knowledge of CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, GANs, Deep Reinforcement Learning.
- Experience with live chat/call conversation analysis and cognitive insights from unstructured data.
