Primary Design Engineer

The Opportunity

As an Engineering authority for projects with low to medium complexity, you will execute complete engineering assignments on small, medium, or large projects cost-effectively while adhering to contract specifications and quality standards. You will prepare substation layouts, section drawings, grounding and lightning system designs, cable routings, bills of materials (BOM), RFQs, vet vendor offers, estimate engineering hours, conduct site visits, and perform technical risk assessments.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the lifecycle from engineering to commissioning for at least five AIS and GIS substation projects rated 66 kV and above.
• Tender Engineering: Lead tender processes including risk review, cost impact analysis, optimized proposal preparation, layout & SLD creation, and BOM/BOQ generation for major equipment.
• Project Execution: Drive project quality, process implementation, planning, prioritization, and delegation while identifying risks early.

Your Background

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 11-15+ years of experience is required. You will need deep knowledge in substation design calculations (SCF, SAG, Earthing, DSLP, Lighting), vendor coordination, and customer liaison. Proficiency in tools like Cymgrd, ETAP, AutoCAD, Revit, DIALux, and CDEGS is essential.
