Role Overview

The Rodney L. White Center for Financial Research at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) is seeking a Predoctoral Research Associate to support quantitative research in financial economics under the guidance of Professors Patrick Adams, Lu Liu, and Huan Tang.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze complex datasets related to monetary policy, FinTech, data economy, and wealth inequality using advanced statistical software (Stata, R, Python).
• Leverage high-performance computing resources and AI/agentic coding tools for computational work.
• Review academic literature and policy developments relevant to finance research.
• Create presentation materials and prepare manuscripts for submission to top-tier academic journals.

Growth & Development

• This is a two-year position designed for candidates aiming to pursue PhD programs in Economics or Finance.
