Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) Design - Senior Engineer
Join Qualcomm's global PMIC team, a dynamic organization dedicated to delivering power-efficient and cost-effective solutions for mobile, compute, AR/VR, automotive, and IoT products. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a new PMIC analog design team in Bangalore, contributing to Qualcomm's innovative PMIC design community.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the definition, design, verification, and documentation of mixed-signal circuits and products within the Power Management domain.
- Execute design and verification strategies for PMICs, taking ownership of assigned blocks with guidance from the technical lead.
- Perform functionality checks on individual blocks to ensure they meet team-lead-provided specifications with minimal supervision.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and advancements in Power Management through publicly available information.
- Engage in all phases of the design lifecycle, from system definition and specification to circuit design, simulation, and post-silicon debug.
- Effectively communicate complex technical information both orally and in writing, employing negotiation, influence, diplomacy, and tact.
- Play a significant role in overseeing layout and silicon evaluation processes.
- Demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: power electronics (switch mode and linear), control theory, high-accuracy data converters and analog front ends, high-bandwidth linear amplifiers, very low-power references, electro-migration and transistor reliability, and behavioral modeling and UVI techniques.
- Utilize design tools such as Cadence ADE, MathWorks MATLAB, Verilog/VerilogAMS, SystemVerilog, and others.
- Actively contribute to next-generation initiatives and foster innovation within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, with 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
