About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Platform Messaging Engineer to join our Infrastructure Platform Services team at FNZ. This role is critical for maintaining the reliability, speed, and availability of our messaging systems that drive data flow across enterprise operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Upgrade and manage RabbitMQ environments and support BizTalk services.
  • Add Kafka or Itiviti Fix knowledge where applicable to enhance capabilities.
  • Build and maintain high-availability setups spanning multiple data centres, utilizing blue-green deployment strategies.
  • Contribute to both build (change management) and run (support) tasks for all middleware products.
  • Automate routine BAU tasks, cronjobs, setup monitoring, and alerting using tools like Splunk, Nagios, and New Relic.
  • Execute basic SQL queries within SSMS environments.

    • Requirements

    • Demonstrable experience in similar infrastructure roles with a strong grasp of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, BizTalk).
    • Familiarity with Apache Kafka or equivalent middleware is highly valued.
    • Deep understanding of clustering, high availability, and cross-site deployment strategies.
