Platform Engineer

Join ValGenesis as a Platform Engineer specializing in SaaS Operations to manage the high-availability, security, and performance of their cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native SaaS products, automating infrastructure-as-code, and embedding security-first principles into every stage of the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing robust continuous integration practices, integrating source control systems with build pipelines, artifact repositories, and container scanning tools. You will leverage Azure Key Vault and HashiCorp Vault for secure secrets management, enforce policy-as-code, and implement compliance guardrails. Experience with Kubernetes-based deployments across OpenShift, Rancher, or upstream Kubernetes is essential.

You will automate the provisioning and configuration of core platform components, including AKS clusters, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, PostgreSQL Flexible Servers, Cosmos DB, and VNet architecture. Support for Hub-Spoke networking and hybrid connectivity patterns is also required. The role involves enabling vulnerability scanning, remediation workflows, and automating security posture management and compliance checks, enforcing RBAC and least-privilege access models across cloud and on-prem environments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, PaaS/SaaS), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and event-driven architectures in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proven experience designing and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure, utilizing both SaaS and PaaS services.
• Experience with Azure PaaS services like PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Cosmos DB, Azure Cache for Redis, and Azure Storage.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes on both AKS and on-prem environments.
• Solid experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with container build processes and managing container registries such as Azure Container Registry (ACR).
• Experience integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST and DAST tools.
• Experience implementing Policy-as-Code using tools like OPA or Azure Policy.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Experience configuring and managing Private DNS and Private Endpoints.
• Familiarity with Linux system administration and network management.
