Platform Engineer L2

Role Overview

Join Curative as a Platform Engineer L2 to design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and shared services that support our engineering teams. This role focuses on cloud architecture, reliability, CI/CD, and developer tooling while helping application teams ship safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain infrastructure with OpenTofu, prioritizing fault tolerance and operational simplicity.
• Own the full lifecycle of services: design, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines enabling application teams to ship safely and quickly.
• Investigate and resolve moderately complex infrastructure and performance issues with structured troubleshooting habits.
• Integrate security and compliance (including HIPAA) into all infrastructure decisions.
• Participate in architecture design discussions, helping engineers navigate cloud and automation frameworks across the organization.
• Contribute to platform reliability improvements and process optimization.
• Take on small-scale project leadership: scoping work, managing timelines, and coordinating with teammates.
• Actively participate in the on-call rotation for owned systems.

Must Have Qualifications

• A few years of professional experience as a software, platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineer across multiple organizations.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code: OpenTofu, Terraform, or equivalent.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one language between Python and Go, plus willingness to work in both.
• Solid fundamentals in networking, storage, and monitoring.
• Ability to debug production issues independently and communicate findings clearly.
• Comfort participating in an on-call rotation.
