Platform Engineer Intern – 6 Months Opportunity at Slice

Location: On-site | Koramangala, Bengaluru, India

Availability: Immediate joiners preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand system architecture and enhance infrastructure reliability and scalability.
• Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for streamlined development and release cycles.
• Work with containerization and orchestration tools to support scalable deployments.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Support monitoring, logging, and observability initiatives to improve system visibility and performance.
• Participate in troubleshooting production and staging issues alongside senior engineers.
• Gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms and real-world distributed systems.
• Enhance developer experience by building internal tools and automation workflows.
• Explore and experiment with AI-driven automation tools to boost infrastructure efficiency and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience using Agentic AI coding tools to build real-life applications.
• Worked on AI-related projects, particularly in automation or system optimization.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or any object-oriented language.
• Basic understanding of Linux systems, networking concepts, and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Interest or exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
• Proficient hands-on coding ability with a strong problem-solving mindset.
• High curiosity about distributed systems, scalability, and reliability engineering.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively in an agile team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Genuine enthusiasm for technology, eagerness to learn, and a drive to build impactful systems.

• Have built or contributed to automation frameworks in personal or academic projects.
