Platform Engineer

About the Role

Join a prestigious US-headquartered product company as they expand their India platform engineering hub. This role is pivotal for shaping how the Indian team builds and maintains core infrastructure that supports millions of daily users globally.

Your Mission

As a Platform Engineer, you will harden our cloud infrastructure and build robust tooling to ensure fast deploys and minimal incidents. You will take increasing ownership of the platform roadmap for the India hub while collaborating directly with US-based architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Tooling & Automation: Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across staging and production environments. Automate engineering workflows including CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, and dependency management to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Reliability & Developer Experience: Optimize deploy frequency and rollback speed through advanced CI/CD strategies. Create internal dashboards for real-time service health visibility. Actively reduce on-call noise by identifying and fixing root causes rather than treating symptoms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You bring 4 to 8 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles. You possess a strong background with major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration technologies. Crucially, you are proficient in systems programming languages like Go, Python, or Java for building custom platform tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leveraging service meshes, feature-flagging platforms, or progressive-delivery tooling.
• Demonstrated exposure to cost optimization strategies and FinOps practices within cloud infrastructure environments.
