We are seeking a Platform & SRE Engineer to join our Software Engineering team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable, containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments. A key part of your role will be to own and improve platform observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and alerts. You will collaborate closely with application teams to onboard services, ensuring proper authentication and authorization (OAuth2, SSO, JWT, etc.). Troubleshooting production issues, improving availability, and driving root cause analysis are critical aspects of this position. You will also standardize and automate routine tasks using Python scripting or Ansible, and support web-based deployments including APIs, UI apps, and their configurations. Collaboration on system design, capacity planning, and performance tuning will be essential. Key requirements include strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, a solid understanding of containerization, deployment strategies, and orchestration. Deep familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, alerts, and metrics is necessary. Working knowledge of web deployment and web component architecture, along with experience in setting up or working with authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth, SSO), is important. A good understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) is required. Proficiency in Linux and basic database operations (SQL) is expected. Strong Python scripting skills for automation and experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools are highly valued. Exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm) and familiarity with cloud-native concepts and services are beneficial.
