Job Overview

Jay Dinesh Chemicals is seeking a dedicated Plant Incharge to oversee its production facility in India, specifically in Ahmedabad, Surat, or Vadodara. This role is crucial for managing daily operations, ensuring the plant runs efficiently and safely, and maintaining high production quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day plant operations to guarantee efficient production processes and target output.
• Lead and mentor a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance and support.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
• Contribute to the development and execution of effective production plans and strategies.
• Foster strong collaboration with other departments, including Quality Control, Maintenance, and Safety, to ensure seamless operations and communication.
• Oversee the production of specific chemicals such as CAC, MCAA, DCAC, and TCAC, ensuring desired product quality.
• Ensure the safe handling of chlorine and other hazardous chemicals, acting as the primary point of contact for any incidents.
• Make swift and decisive actions during reaction upsets and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate batch records and log sheets for all production activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related), Manufacturing, or a similar field.
• 1-2 years of proven experience in plant operations or a manufacturing environment, preferably within the chemical industry.
• In-depth understanding of chlorination plant operations (CAC / MCAA / DCAC / TCAC types).
• Practical knowledge of chlorination reactions, including Cl₂ handling and substitution reactions.
• Expertise in controlling key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and chlorine dosing rate.
• Familiarity with potential issues like over-chlorination and side reactions in chlorination processes.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and relevant plant control tools.
• Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to the manufacturing and chemical industry.
