American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a highly skilled PJM Transmission Strategy and Policy Manager to join our dynamic team. This remote position is crucial for managing regulatory operational requirements for transmission infrastructure spanning multiple states. The ideal candidate will ensure strict compliance with regulations, maintain a strategic positioning for AEP's transmission assets, and foster strong relationships with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate subject matter experts to effectively address proposed regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary transmission liaison between AEP officials (corporate/state), transmission employees, and commission staff on regulatory matters impacting distribution operations.
- Develop and implement robust tracking and monitoring systems for regulatory standard compliance.
- Manage and respond to data requests and reporting obligations for transmission activities through AEP's state regulatory organizations.
- Analyze the operational impacts of regulatory changes and contribute to the development of programs to meet new requirements.
- Provide expert regulatory advice and guidance for policy development and employee incentive programs.
- Collaborate with the Customer Operations group to ensure alignment of business operations with regulatory performance standards.
