PHP Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain PHP applications.
• Lead backend architecture and technical decision-making.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold best engineering practices.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers.
• Collaborate effectively with frontend, QA, product, and DevOps teams.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Participate actively in system design discussions and sprint planning.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of professional PHP development experience.
• Proficiency in modern PHP (8.x).
• Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.
• A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Extensive experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB, including query optimization.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON data formats.
• Proven experience with Git and modern Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
• Understanding of web security best practices, including OWASP guidelines, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, or cloud platforms like AWS.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies including JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, and CSS.
• Previous experience leading technical initiatives or managing small development teams.

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
