PHP Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive PHP Developer to serve as a technical leader during application transitions. This role demands expertise in application discovery, architectural analysis, vendor liaison, and ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of systems. Join our team in Mumbai, India, and play a crucial part in modernizing our application infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery and analysis of application components, encompassing both backend (PHP) and frontend technologies.
• Perform in-depth analysis of system architecture, APIs, data models, and overall system design.
• Validate vendor-provided documentation and facilitate comprehensive knowledge transfer.
• Identify and document technical debt, potential risks, and project dependencies.
• Propose actionable recommendations for improvements before and after system transitions.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point and provide guidance to engineering teams.
• Conduct thorough reviews of code, integrations, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate closely with cloud and security teams to ensure successful deployment and compliance with security standards.
• Contribute to enhancing system reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

Required Skills

• A minimum of 2.5 years of hands-on experience in robust PHP backend development.
• Demonstrated experience working with complex codebases, APIs, and intricate system architectures.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and database design principles.
• Proven experience in collaborating with external vendors.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in system transitions or migrations is highly desirable.
• Exposure to cloud environments, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
