PHP Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated PHP Developer with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience specializing in CodeIgniter 3. In this role, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining backend applications and internal systems that support mission-critical aviation MRO operations. You will write clean, secure, and maintainable code, optimize database queries, design RESTful APIs, and maintain high standards of system availability.

• CodeIgniter 3 Development: Build, test, and maintain web applications and management modules using CodeIgniter 3 (MVC architecture).
• Database Management: Write, optimize, and debug complex MySQL queries, custom database scripts, and relational schemas.
• API Integration & Development: Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs and web services to interface internal MRO systems with third-party software and external services.
• Maintenance & Debugging: Troubleshoot, debug, and refactor existing CodeIgniter codebases to enhance performance, reliability, and application security.
• Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding standards to prevent vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF) and safeguard sensitive data.
• Frontend Integration: Collaborate on front-end displays using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX to ensure seamless integration between server-side logic and user interfaces.
• Version Control: Manage code, branching, and deployments using Git.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of commercial web development experience using PHP and CodeIgniter 3.
• Framework Mastery: Deep understanding of CodeIgniter 3 lifecycle, controllers, models, views, libraries, helpers, hooks, and active record class.
• Database Skills: Strong proficiency in MySQL (joins, indexing, view creation, and query optimization).
• Web Fundamentals: Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and JSON parsing.
• API Integration: Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs (cURL, JSON/XML web services).
• Version Control: Working knowledge of Git (GitHub / Bitbucket / GitLab).
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a structured approach to debugging and system design.
