Performance Testing & Certification Engineer - Air Conditioner R&D

CIEL HR is seeking a skilled Performance Testing & Certification Engineer to join their Research and Development team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and performance of air conditioning products through rigorous testing and certification processes.

Locations: Pune, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad, India.

Work Schedule: Rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical is required.

Product Focus: Air Conditioner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Performance Approval: Conduct testing of new air conditioner models for domestic and international markets according to project plans. Analyze data and generate comprehensive reports. Manage product installation and test setup requirements.
• Lab Operations, Safety & Maintenance: Oversee lab utilization reporting. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance. Procure consumables, spares, and capital items. Ensure housekeeping and safety compliance. Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Quality Check Program: Execute periodic calibration and correlation activities, including intermediate calibration and ownership of the inter-laboratory comparison (ILC) process.
• Lab & Product Certification: Manage documentation and coordination for key certification bodies including the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and Satellite & Product Certification programs.
• Testing Standards & Validation: Study field and lab failures, and develop new test conditions. Participate in Design Validation and Verification Plan (DVVP). Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant industry standards.
• People Development & Productivity: Train operators and technicians. Drive continuous improvement in lab productivity and implement new tools/software.

Required Experience:

• 2–6 Years of experience in performance testing and certification.
• Preferred Industry Background: HVAC, Air Conditioner, or Refrigeration.
