About the Role

SmartHelio is seeking a Performance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Noida, India, with immediate start dates available. This role is crucial for analyzing solar PV system performance, contributing to the development of fault detection algorithms, and managing customer relationships globally. You will work with a talented team of data scientists and collaborate with leading clean energy companies worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for clean technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead operational activities for PV site performance analysis.
2. Collaborate with data scientists on fault detection algorithm development.
3. Manage weekly client deliverables and prepare performance impact analyses.
4. Conduct monthly performance review meetings with clients.
5. Provide remote support to on-site staff during maintenance activities.
6. Develop mechanisms to enhance customer value and satisfaction.
7. Deliver excellent customer service.

Your Profile

We are looking for individuals with a degree in Engineering/Diploma (Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or Renewables) or a related field. Experience levels vary:

1. Jr. Performance Engineer: Fresh graduates with solar PV training or 1 year of experience in C&I/utility-scale PV plants (Plant Engineer, O&M Engineer, Performance Engineer).
2. Performance Engineer: 2-3 years of on-site Operations & Maintenance experience in C&I/utility-scale PV plants (O&M Engineer, Performance Engineer).

Mandatory Requirements:

• In-depth understanding and experience in day-to-day plant management and O&M.
• Proven ability to handle ground staff and mobilize them effectively (especially for Jr. Performance Engineer role).
• Sound technical understanding of the entire solar/renewable value chain (financing, installation, post-install).
• Ability to comprehend high-level data analytics algorithms.
• Expert verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Proficiency in collaboration and documentation tools (MS Office, Google Docs).

Pre-requisites: Candidates must bring their own laptops to the office.
