Performance & Capacity Engineer

Apple is seeking a Performance & Capacity Engineer to join the Infrastructure Services team within Information Systems and Technology. In this role, you will develop analytical tools, predictive models, and data-driven solutions for capacity planning, traffic forecasting, and performance optimization across Apple's global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Create mathematical, statistical, or data-driven models to support capacity planning, demand forecasting, and routing optimization.
• Conduct scenario analysis on traffic growth, link failures, and planned upgrades to ensure the network can handle forecasted demands.
• Analyze large-scale network telemetry and performance datasets to identify traffic patterns, utilization trends, anomalies, and potential constraints.
• Design interactive dashboards and data visualizations for effective communication of network performance metrics and forecasting insights.
• Leverage modern developer tools, automation, and AI-assisted workflows to enhance analysis and planning processes.
• Build scalable data processing pipelines for collecting, transforming, and analyzing large-scale datasets.
• Apply AI/ML techniques and statistical analysis to uncover operational insights and automate anomaly detection.
