People Systems Engineer
Full Job Description
Role Overview
As a People Systems Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain automations, integrations, and AI-powered workflows connecting Workday, Greenhouse, Slack, and other global workforce tools. You will own features from request through deployment, ensuring reliability at scale in our all-remote environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Build and maintain system automations using Ruby or comparable scripting languages within GitLab's CI/CD pipelines, adhering to SOX ITGC standards.
- Develop integrations for Workday Web Services (WWS), Slack APIs/Bot SDKs, Google Cloud Platform, Claude, and other internal tools.
- Leverage AI tools, LLMs, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks daily to accelerate development and prototype AI agents.
- Monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures quickly, and fix root causes for scalable reliability.
Your Skills
We seek a software engineer with hands-on experience in HR or business system integrations, proficiency in Ruby (or willingness to learn), iPaaS platforms like Workato, API management (REST/SOAP), Git version control, and an AI-forward mindset. Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes, Google Cloud/Amazon Web Services, LLMs/AI agents, and Greenhouse is a plus.
