People & Ops Manager

About the Role

SimplePlan Media is seeking a driven individual contributor to elevate its HR & People Operations team. This role is predominantly operational (70% Ops, 30% Talent Management) and requires a leader passionate about scaling teams and fostering a collaborative environment. As a respected design agency with a strong culture, we need someone who can preserve our core values while driving improvements and growth.

Who You Are

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about team scaling and working towards common objectives. You should possess:

• 1-3 years of experience in an HR Ops role.
• Proven HR experience in fast-paced, collaborative work environments.
• A solid understanding of organizational psychology.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
• Opinionated approach: Ability to articulate and justify your ideas and strategies.
• Proactive nature: A keen eye for opportunities and challenges, with a drive to act promptly.
• Feedback proficiency: Adept at both giving and receiving constructive feedback in an ego-free manner.
• Enthusiasm for demanding, yet balanced work: A commitment to high standards while valuing work-life balance and thorough execution.

What You Will Do

Your primary responsibility will be the creation, management, and optimization of People Operations systems. Key duties include:

• Developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with company strategies and culture.
• Planning, executing, and optimizing people initiatives, including growth structures.
• Continuously improving hiring, sourcing, and onboarding strategies.
• Overseeing daily office operations in collaboration with the admin team.
