Payroll Analyst

Ecolab Global Services seeks a dedicated Payroll Analyst in Pune. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of U.S. payroll across multiple states. The Payroll Analyst will conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of pay-related transactions that impact financial statements. Collaboration with HRIS is essential for testing system upgrades and implementations critical to the payroll infrastructure. This position also involves managing all facets of assigned projects within the payroll department and overseeing the maintenance and transmission of complex payrolls. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and expertise in payroll systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all aspects of timely bi-weekly and weekly payroll processing using Workday Payroll, Time and Absence Time, and Workday.
• Engaging in peer audits and reviews of payrolls processed by team members, communicating issues collaboratively.
• Responding to employee requests for information in writing, interacting with employees at various levels.
• Utilizing diverse resources to provide complete and accurate answers.
• Researching payroll compliance issues at federal, state, and local levels, referencing resources like APA Payroll Source and government websites.
• Participating in SOX testing, internal/external audits, and assisting in providing data for Legal, Tax, and Finance departments.
• Providing skilled technical support, including data coordination, analysis, report writing, and payroll system testing. Developing and maintaining department metrics.
• Escalating complex problems and issues that cannot be resolved through standard processes.
• Identifying process inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
• Responding to employee inquiries and resolving payroll discrepancies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Workday payroll systems.
• Advanced Excel experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow case management.
• 3-5 years of U.S. payroll experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
