We are seeking a Patient Services Representative for a full-time, day shift opportunity. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include educating patients on financial obligations, assisting with appointment scheduling, and guiding them through navigating our healthcare services. You will be instrumental in managing patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments, updating registration information, and scheduling follow-up and ancillary appointments. Additionally, you'll assist patients with understanding their financial responsibilities, connect them to advocacy resources, and verify insurance benefits. You'll also play a key role in registering patients for our Biometrics program and promoting the MyUPMC patient portal. Strong communication skills are essential for explaining the portal's benefits and assisting with registration. You will also be responsible for accurately triaging phone calls and performing administrative duties such as scanning medical records and faxing. A commitment to service recovery and ensuring the highest standard of the UPMC Experience is paramount.
