P&C Manager, India (Remote)

Contour Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced P&C Manager to lead our People and Culture function in India. This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to build and shape the people function from the ground up. You will be instrumental in driving talent acquisition, building our employer brand, advising on critical people decisions, and establishing best practices for our growing India team.

About the Role: As the first dedicated leader of the India P&C function, you will own end-to-end talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, and offer rollouts. You will also be responsible for launching and developing Contour's employer brand across key Indian platforms like LinkedIn, AmbitionBox, Glassdoor, and Naukri. Key responsibilities include setting up a campus hiring program, advising cluster heads on team-level people decisions (performance, restructures, exits), partnering with our onshore P&C team for policy alignment, managing HRIS (Rippling) and ATS (Zoho Recruit) operations, and coordinating with external HR advisors and L&D freelancers. You will start solo and have the opportunity to build and lead your own team as volume dictates.

What You Will Do:

• Manage full-cycle talent acquisition, collaborating with hiring managers and developing recruitment strategies.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive employer branding strategy for the Indian market.
• Establish and manage a campus hiring program, building relationships with educational institutions.
• Provide expert advice and support on team-level people management issues.
• Collaborate with the global P&C team to ensure localized policy implementation.
• Oversee and optimize HRIS and ATS systems.
• Lead and manage external vendor relationships for HR and L&D support.
• Hire and mentor your future team members, ensuring accountability for functional outputs.

What You Need:

• 7-9 years of experience in a generalist P&C, HRBP, or talent acquisition role with broad experience across hiring, employee relations, and people operations.
• Proven success in full-cycle recruiting within a fast-paced environment, with strong negotiation and brief refinement skills.
• Demonstrated experience advising on performance management and exit strategies.
• Solid understanding of the Indian employer brand landscape (Naukri, LinkedIn, AmbitionBox, Glassdoor).
• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Comfort working across time zones, with overlap between Indian and Australian business hours.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in EdTech, education services, or a student-facing organization.
• Experience launching an employer brand or campus program from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Recruit or Rippling.
