About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Aligned Finance Analyst to join our team in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in financial research and reporting functions to support specific business units, divisions, or products.
• Conduct review and forecast analysis of key metrics, providing financial consulting for business performance and strategic reviews.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within your scope of responsibilities.
• Research and analyze financial data to support management decision-making.
• Create and communicate analyses related to product pricing, product, and portfolio performance.
• Utilize independent judgment for key metrics forecasting, closing data, and validation.
• Present recommendations for resolving forecasting projections and financial reporting for monthly and quarterly forecasts.
• Develop expertise in reporting that adheres to brand and internal control standards.
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, internal partners, and managers within finance and business lines to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Subject matter expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with hands-on experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ability to support AI adoption planning, influence stakeholders, and execute initiatives to improve FP&A end-user experiences.
• Proficiency in engineering Large Language Models (LLMs) to auto-generate executive summaries and analysis of Income/Cost/FTE reports.
• Experience using platforms like Jupyter Notebooks or Google Colab to build and deploy financial models using Python.
• Skilled in utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and NotebookLM to automate reporting, generate insights, and improve decision-making.
• Ability to contribute to AI/ML and Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives, including model development, integration, and deployment.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies to support strategic discussions for future capability development.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise tools like MS Copilot, with a strong understanding of prompt engineering.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for generating analysis and reports.
• Strong proficiency in KPI and metrics-related reporting, with the ability to independently deliver financial and non-financial data and analytics.
• Good financial acumen, with the ability to provide strategic data/analytic support to business teams.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, understanding process changes, and research/query handling.
• Excellent automation and transformation skills, particularly with reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence applications.

Job Expectations:

• MBA from a reputed institute, or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with 2 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 1 year of integrating AI into financial workflows.
• Hands-on experience in Line of Business (LOB) / segment / product reporting, management reporting, dashboards, presentations, analytics, and commentary.
• Good exposure to workflow applications, Business Objects (BO), BI tools, or similar applications. Strong expertise in Data Lineage, data flow/architecture, and data quality.
• Proficiency with Essbase, Hyperion, and Cognos, with subject matter expertise in data retrievals from different cubes (Must have).
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel, Macros, Power BI, Power Apps, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in AI framework and tool adoption (e.g., Python, Copilot, GenAI), data querying (SQL), and advanced analytics platforms (Power BI, SAS, Tableau).
• Financial Services industry experience, particularly in brokerage, is strongly preferred.
• Certifications in SAS, Python, Power BI, or Power App are advantageous.
