Join Vestas in Chennai as an OT Network and System Engineer, a pivotal role for the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our Operational Technology (OT) systems. This position requires a strong foundation in cybersecurity and network management, ideally with experience in the energy sector. You will be instrumental in implementing security protocols, managing access controls, resolving system issues, and collaborating with international teams.

Key Responsibilities

• System & Network Management: Provide comprehensive hardware and software support, including installation, configuration, and testing to maintain high standards of uniformity, performance, and reliability.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and actively monitor Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), manage antivirus software, configure and test log management systems/SIEM, and deploy critical security patches and firmware updates on SCADA devices.
• Identity & Access Management: Manage user access provisioning and privilege allocation on servers and network devices. Conduct regular audits of user access levels and facilitate user migration from existing site configurations.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve issues with PCs, servers, applications, and networking devices using remote support tools or on-site visits. Liaise effectively with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to investigate and address security incidents.
• Project Participation: Engage actively in SCADA and security projects throughout the region.
• Documentation: Generate operational reports and maintain up-to-date procedure manuals for all systems and associated activities.

Qualifications

• University degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, with a preference for expertise in Operational Technology or the energy industry.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE and CCNA are highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English communication.

Competencies

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Cisco networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls), and Linux operating systems.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks including C2M2, NIST, AESCSF, IEC62443, or similar standards.
• Industrial Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with PLC programming, automation, or SCADA systems.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to logically identify, define, and resolve the root causes of problems.
