Sopra Steria is seeking a skilled Oracle Fusion Finance ESS Concurrent Job Monitoring Specialist for its operations in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless execution of scheduled processes and concurrent jobs within Oracle Fusion Finance applications, thereby maintaining business continuity and proactively addressing any issues.
The specialist will be responsible for monitoring Oracle Fusion ESS (Enterprise Scheduler Service) jobs and concurrent requests, identifying and resolving job failures, delays, and performance bottlenecks. Key duties include coordinating with functional and technical teams for troubleshooting, ensuring critical financial jobs (e.g., month-end, period-close, integrations) complete within service level agreements (SLAs), and managing incidents and problems according to ITIL best practices. This involves logging job failures, performing root cause analysis, and raising problem records for systemic issues. The role also entails supporting change and release management by assisting with new job scheduling, modifications, and release validations. Proactive event and alert management, including setting up monitoring alerts and providing performance reports, is also a key responsibility. Collaboration with Finance business users, DBAs, integration teams, and Oracle Support is essential, as is supporting functional consultants during critical financial closing periods.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in monitoring Oracle Fusion ESS jobs, preferably within Finance modules.
- Solid understanding of job scheduling, dependencies, and log file analysis.
- Familiarity with Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, FBDI uploads, and integrations.
- Knowledge of SQL and log troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Exposure to Oracle Fusion Finance modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM.
- Understanding of financial period-close processes and their reliance on scheduled jobs.
- Knowledge of ITIL/Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Event Management).
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 support model or rotational shifts as required.
- Proactive, customer-focused, and effective time management skills.
Qualifications:
- B.E./ B.Tech./ BCom/MBA
Experience: 4 to 6 years of total experience.
