Oracle ERP, OAC, OBIEE, SQL Developer - Senior in Kolkata, India
At EY, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle ERP, OAC, OBIEE, and SQL Developer to join our dynamic consulting team in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This is a pivotal role where you will leverage your deep technical expertise in Oracle's analytics suite and data warehousing to design, build, and implement cutting-edge solutions for our clients.
The Opportunity
As a Staff Consultant within EY's Consulting practice, specializing in Oracle Analytics Cloud, you will be instrumental in shaping a new and growing service offering. We are looking for motivated engineers with a proven track record in Oracle Analytics Cloud, business analytics, and data warehousing. You will provide deep technical expertise across Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, and ETL, with a focus on the power & utility sector. Your role will involve close collaboration with external clients, presales teams, architects, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful analytics solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
This position demands a highly technical, hands-on cloud engineer who will work directly with EY Partners and clients to develop new business opportunities and drive initiatives related to Oracle Analytics, ETL, and Data Warehousing. You will possess a strong understanding of the value of data and analytics, with demonstrated success in delivering solutions across various business lines and providing technical leadership. From initial discovery to solution implementation, you will engage with clients to understand their business challenges and goals, developing tailored solutions using diverse cloud services.
- Demonstrate expertise in Oracle's analytics offerings, including Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Data Visualization, OBIEE, and Fusion Analytics for Warehouse.
- Provide solution design expertise and guide customers to meet specific business needs.
- Be hands-on in developing analytics and data warehousing reports and solutions.
- Deliver Proofs of Concept (PoCs) tailored to customer requirements.
- Conduct and deliver hands-on customer workshops.
- Interact effectively with all levels of client stakeholders, including executives, architects, technical staff, and business representatives.
- Foster strong client relationships, maintain a customer-centric approach, communicate effectively, and provide coaching.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle's analytics suite: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Fusion Analytics for Warehouse, OBIEE, OBIA, etc.
- Exposure to other BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
- Experience with cloud environments like Azure or AWS, or work experience with ETL tools, is a plus.
- Extensive hands-on experience and end-to-end implementation experience with OAC/OBIEE and BI Publisher is mandatory.
- Proficiency in developing Oracle BI Repositories (RPD).
- Experience in configuring OBIEE/OAC security (Authentication and Authorization – Object level and Data level security) and tuning reports.
- Experience working with session and repository variables, and initialization blocks to streamline administrative tasks and dynamically modify metadata.
- Experience in report performance optimization.
- Experience developing dimensional hierarchies and integrating multiple data sources into business model objects.
- Solid knowledge and practical application of SQL for data extraction.
- Good knowledge of Oracle Applications, specifically Oracle E-business Suite or Oracle ERP, and Oracle HCM (SaaS offerings), is preferable.
- Deep understanding of databases, cloud concepts, Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), and data integration tools like ODI or Informatica is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects.
- 2-5 years of project experience with OBIEE.
- At least 2 years of OAC implementation experience.
- Experience working on Financial, SCM, or HR Analytics projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience engaging with business partners and IT to gather requirements and drive design, programming execution, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for future state capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects and strict deadlines.
- Good understanding of outsourcing and off-shoring, with the ability to build win-win strategies and contracts with suppliers.
- Experience with other data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Experience or good knowledge of Oracle Applications such as Oracle CC&B or Oracle MDM.
- Experience in integration development to/from other systems.
