As an Opto-Mechanical Build Engineer in Los Angeles, CA, you will drive the development and deployment of sophisticated opto-mechanical systems for our advanced metal 3D printing technology. Your role will be critical in building, assembling, and integrating these cutting-edge systems.
Responsibilities include building, assembling, aligning, and deploying complex opto-mechanical systems. You will develop scalable in-house build processes from prototype to volume production, integrating high-power lasers and high-speed camera solutions. This role requires designing mechanical solutions for precise optical integration and creating drawings adhering to opto-mechanical GD&T standards. You will establish and manage precision alignment processes, including method, procedure, and software. Performing optical performance testing and characterization, and collaborating closely with process, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure robust and scalable system architecture are key aspects of this position.
