WilmerHale, a leading international law firm with a strong focus on government, technology, and business law, is seeking a skilled Operating Systems Security Engineer for its Washington, D.C. office. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and managing the firm's enterprise endpoint and server operating systems, along with associated security infrastructure. The engineer will ensure optimal performance and robust security against potential incidents, playing a key role in safeguarding the firm's digital assets. Responsibilities include managing and supporting operating systems and security infrastructure, contributing to the Computer Security Incident Response Team, and assisting in the development of processes for investigating and remediating security incidents such as malware and data loss. The position involves implementing new security environments, managing product lifecycles, monitoring system performance, and providing end-to-end support for various infrastructure technologies. A significant aspect of this role includes ownership of Endpoint and Server Security products and projects, encompassing OS hardening, configuration control, and the development of secure desktop and server images. Experience with Citrix, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory, and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) is beneficial. Collaboration with the Infrastructure Services Manager to define and enforce security standards is expected. The engineer will also be responsible for developing roadmaps for adopting new security technologies, negotiating software licensing, and participating in cross-functional technology implementation projects.
