Holiday Tribe is seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to join their dynamic team in Gurugram, Haryana. This role is instrumental in building high-performance APIs and workflows that enhance their innovative planning and booking assistant for travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Node.js (Express), seamlessly integrating with essential travel APIs for flights, hotels, and activities.
  • Implement efficient RESTful APIs and services to power AI-driven trip planning and booking functionalities.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend development and AI orchestration layers to ensure an intuitive and seamless end-user experience.
  • Architect and design clean, reusable modules for integration with various third-party booking platforms.
  • Focus on optimizing the performance and scalability of real-time query systems.
  • Partner with product managers and DevOps teams to guarantee stable deployments and facilitate rapid iteration cycles.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated backend development experience with Node.js.
  • A strong foundational understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming principles.
  • Proven experience working with diverse databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with message queues (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka), websockets, and caching mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, modular, and testable code.
  • Previous experience in the travel, booking, or real-time systems domain is considered a significant advantage.
