Role Overview
We need an experienced Next.js Developer to build and grow e-commerce web applications. You will own features from design to deployment, working with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver fast, reliable, and user-friendly online stores.
Key Responsibilities
Development: Build and maintain e-commerce web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Implement key shopping features including product listings, search/filters, PDPs, cart/checkout, and order tracking. Utilize SSR, SSG, and ISR for optimal speed and SEO. Write reusable, clean components.
End-to-End Delivery: Own features from requirements to production release. Integrate REST or GraphQL APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services. Deploy on AWS.
Performance and Quality: Optimize page load time, Core Web Vitals, and SEO via code splitting and caching. Debug across browsers/devices. Write comprehensive tests.
Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with designers, backend devs, and QA. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Required Skills
- 5+ years total web development experience (3+ in Next.js)
- Strong React, TypeScript, ES6+ skills
- Proven e-commerce domain experience (2 projects delivered)
- AWS hosting basics (EC2, S3, CloudFront)
- HTML5, CSS3, responsive design expertise
- State management and data fetching proficiency
Preferred Skills
- Payment gateway integration experience
- Tailwind CSS or SCSS knowledge
- Testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
- Docker and SEO best practices
