Network Support Engineer

Vegayan Systems is seeking a talented Network Support Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon. This role involves supporting advanced networking products and integrated solutions for communication network operators, including tier-one telecom operators, CSPs, and enterprise customers.

Work Location: Gurgaon & Manesar. Limited work-from-home is available for night shifts (10 days per year).

Training: An intensive 3-4 month training program will be conducted in Vikhroli, Mumbai.

About You:

You are an excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are comfortable taking ownership of projects and customer interactions, possess strong technical aptitude to learn new fields, protocols, and processes, and excel at problem-solving individually and as part of a team.

Technical Skills:

• Software: Broad-based software platform skills, hands-on Linux experience, and proficiency in Python or Shell scripting is a plus. Experience with SQL is required.
• Networking: 1-2 years of experience in customer site handling and network operations. Strong understanding of networking technologies and the TCP/IP stack. Hands-on experience with FTP/Telnet/SSH and router/server commands. Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper switch/router configuration and CLI. Proficiency in Excel is advantageous. A networking certification or CCNA is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Understand customer network configuration requirements.
• Log in to customer devices using SSH/Telnet.
• Perform router configurations and execute CLI commands on network devices.
• Generate and submit detailed result reports to customers.

Qualifications:

• First-class B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or M.Sc in IT/MCA.
• Telecom domain experience is a plus.
