About the Position

Incubex is seeking a dedicated and skilled Network Engineer to oversee and support the daily network operations across our commercial office locations. This role is crucial for maintaining robust network performance, ensuring seamless connectivity, and providing excellent IT support to our users. The position is based in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India, with specific location details in HSR layout (9-hour shift) or BTR, Hebbal (12-hour rotational shift). The standard working days are Monday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive day-to-day network support for LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of network hardware including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
• Address and resolve IT and network-related issues reported by users in the workspace promptly.
• Monitor network uptime, analyze bandwidth usage, and report any performance anomalies or potential issues.
• Support structured cabling, manage patch panels, and ensure organized network racks.
• Liaise with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for managing link issues, downtime, and ticket follow-ups.
• Contribute to the setup of networks for new office openings and during IT infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, IP inventory, and device configurations.
• Ensure optimal Wi-Fi coverage and performance through effective basic troubleshooting.
• Provide support for various IT peripherals such as CCTV systems, biometric machines, printers, and basic server infrastructure.
• Implement and ensure adherence to basic network security practices, including password management and access control protocols.
• Identify user requirements and explore opportunities to upsell relevant IT assets and services.
• Engage with procurement processes, manage vendor relationships, and maintain accurate IT asset tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in network support or IT infrastructure roles.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are considered advantageous.
• Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and general internet connectivity principles.
• Hands-on experience with the configuration and management of routers, switches, access points, and basic firewall setups.
• Proficiency in structured cabling, patch panel management, network rack organization, and cable labeling.
• Capability to monitor network uptime, bandwidth utilization, and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Basic knowledge of network security principles, access controls, and password policies.
• Familiarity with IP addressing schemes, creating network diagrams, and general IT documentation.
• Experience supporting IT peripherals like CCTV systems, biometric devices, printers, and basic server environments.
• Skilled in troubleshooting Wi-Fi coverage, signal strength, and performance issues.
• Proven ability to effectively manage and resolve client-reported IT and network issues within a workplace setting.
• Experience coordinating with ISPs and external vendors to resolve connectivity issues and manage service tickets.
• Exposure to IT procurement workflows, asset tracking systems, and vendor coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
• Adaptability to work in a multi-location, fast-paced operational environment.
• Willingness to undertake tasks related to new office setups, site visits, and potential after-hours support when necessary.
