Role Purpose

The Network Software Engineering Specialist will design, develop, and deploy solutions within specific network technology domains. You will create platform-specific roadmaps and make investment recommendations to deliver products meeting service level standards. Your work supports Telstra's Strategic Inventory and autonomous network through quality engineering solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Design, build, and maintain applications/tools for managing domain resources.
• Translate customer needs into leading-edge software products via multi-stakeholder engagement while meeting time, cost, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights on technology challenges and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to define best-practice testing standards and enhance productivity/customer experience.
• Pursue professional development in evolving technologies and methodologies.
• Leverage Agile methodologies to increase efficiency and maximize workforce utility.

Key Activities

• User Experience (UX) design.
• API development.
• UI Design for Telstra's Inventory across physical, logical, and service layers.
• Gathering detailed capability requirements from various workgroups.

Tech Stack & Skills

Daily Use: React.js, Docker, API Design/Development (2+ years exp), UX Design Standards, CI/CD Pipelines (Bamboo/Git BitBucket/CodePipeline).

Mindset: Agile, DevOps, Lean, Human Centred Design.

Tools: Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket.

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering/Computer Science/IT/Telecommunications.
